| New Product Announcement: Heated Environmental Cell 100-33 |

Last month we introduced our new
Hot Plate (p/n 100-33-HP)
which provides a working surface with temperature control up to 300° C.
This month, we're pleased to introduce our new
Heated Environmental Cell (p/n 100-33). This new accessory, like the
Hot Plate, is supported on every ramé-hart instrument from Model 190 to
Model 790. The included
Temperature Controller (p/n 100-50) provides precise control also up
to 300°C at a resolution of 0.1°C. Unlike the Hot Plate, the Heated
Environmental Cell is fully enclosed and includes (4) replaceable quartz
windows for maximum viewing. The cover includes an easy access lid with
removable plugs for dispensing.
If the Heated Environmental Cell is used on a system with DROPimage Advanced v2.7 or higher, then temperature logging can be enabled via the USB connection (cable included). Inlet and outlet ports are included for circulating chilled water or a coolant through the base of the Heated Environmental Cell in order to bring the temperature down quickly or to below ambient temperature. The Temperature Controller will report and log the temperature whether it's above or below ambient. However, only temperatures above ambient are governed by the controller. If you have more extensive chilled temperature requirements, consider the Peltier Environmental Chamber (p/n 100-30). Add the standard ramé-hart Quartz Cell (p/n 100-07-50) for performing liquid/liquid studies. Use an inverted needle for doing interfacial tension measurements. The Heated Environmental Cell offers a flexible environment for studying the effects of temperature on contact angle, surface tension, interfacial tension, and wetting behavior at precise temperature intervals up to 300°C.
