Technical Bulletin How to identify the camera on your ramé-hart instrument Over the years, we have offered a variety of different cameras. As technologies develop and mature we upgrade our camera models to offer the fastest and highest precision camera using the latest high-speed machine vision interface that is currently available. The purpose of this page is to help you identify which camera you may have installed on your instrument. It's important to identify the camera since each camera has a different driver and troubleshooting techniques.
The U4 Series camera features a USB 3.0 interface and uses a USB Micro-B type cable. This camera was first introduced in 2019 replacing the U1 Series camera. This camera operates at 520 frames per second and is standard on all current models (210 and higher). This is an excellent camera that operates at high speed and high resolution. * * *
The U3 Series camera features a USB 3.0 interface and uses a USB Micro-B type cable and looks identical to the U4, U2, and U1 Series cameras.
